How to upgrade Windows Live Messenger to Skype?

Description

For all the Windows users, Windows Live Messenger was the most popular service. It was used by many users for very long. But, now it’s time to leave it. Want to know why? Well, the reason is simple. In 2012, Microsoft acquired Skype and decided to close its Windows Live Messenger service very soon. Now, the time has come. Install Skype as fast as possible and continue feeling connected.

Solution:

As Windows Live Messenger service is closed now, you need to upgrade to Skype. In fact, on March 15, 2013 Windows Live Messenger was closed and users were not able to sign into it. On signing in, users were asked to move to Skype. Skype also allows you to send instant messages, make video calls and call phones from your PC, Mac, mobile phones as well as other devices. The entire process of Skype installation and configuration is easy. Just install it and sign into your existing Microsoft account which you were using in Windows Live Messenger. This will import all your messenger contacts to your Skype account. In case, you already have a Skype account then you can easily combine the contacts of Skype as well as Microsoft account. After merging, sign in with your Microsoft account if you want to access both contacts.
