Five tips for the new Google Maps on Android

Description

The new and advanced version of Google maps is entering via Google Play to Android devices. Here are five tips to use new Google Maps on Android.

Solution:

1. While searching for destinations, slide the information card up from the bottom of the screen so as to reveal call, save and share buttons. Furthermore, you can see the street view of the location, ratings and reviews.

2. To gain quick access to your map data, tap the silhouette icon available at the far right-hand side of the search bar. It includes reviews, saved addresses for home and work, nearby offers, saved places, and recent searches.

3. In the general menu, you can find the traffic and satellite layers. Just tap on the gray tab available along the bottom left-hand side of the app and the menu will open.

4. This time the Local feature is replaced by Explore. Press the search box at the top and then scroll down to find the Explore Banner. Also, the menu is present with categories.

5. For accessing Google Maps while offline, just say or type “OK Maps” in the search box. For finding friends location, you can open Google+ app and choose “Locations” from the left-hand menu.
