How to sidestep accidental mouse clicks?

Description
Suppose, you are working on a computer and in a rush you click a wrong tab. Then what?? Well, it is very common as it happens with all of us. By mistake, you click that "x", closing that adjacent tab instead of switching to the one you wanted to view.

Solution:
It is really very work-destroying if you closed the tab accidently containing unsaved work. Thus, there is an easy way to avoid such situation. In case, you drag your cursor mistakenly someplace else and click over it once then the initial click won’t register. It acts as a preventative do-over. Therefore, now you know how to drag yourself out of such blunders.
