How to get your hands on the new Square card reader

Recently Square has announced the release of a new card reader. This redesigned reader is 45 percent smaller and it is much more accurate.

If you want to have new card reader then you need to request for it through account settings. By logging in to the Square Dashboard, existing Square users can request for a card reader. After signing in to your Square, click on your name and select “Get a Card Reader” from the list of options. After this, enter your shipping address and submit the form.

You will find a new card reader in your mailbox after a week. You can ask for more than one card reader also. In 2014, Square will start shipping the new card reader to the retail outlets. There is a convenient map available to show you the closest location of retail outlets. You need to spend only $10 up front but after entering the promo code your Square account will be credited for the cost.
