How to delete and disable your Google location history?

Description

If your location history is enabled for Google maps and you are not finding it interesting then you can disable this feature. Also, you can delete portions of your history or complete history at all.

Solution:
In case, you want to check that whether the location history feature is enabled or not then go to Google Maps Location History page. To access history settings, click the gear icon button. Now, you can disable or enable the service as per your choice.

But, by disabling location history your past history does not get removed. For erasing locations that Google has stored since past 30 days, go to Location history page. You can see the default time period showing the location history for the current day.
To show the history, pull-down the menu given below the calendar on the left. After choosing the time period, you can see the points where you have been on the map. Below the calendar, you can find the option to delete your history from the time period or delete the complete history.

Also, you can delete a particular location from your history. By clicking on one of the red points on the map, you can click “Delete from history.” Discussing about iOS users, go to “Settings > Privacy > Location Services” and turn off the slider switch for Google maps.
