Solution:

It can also build profile based on the links you click as well as actions you have taken on various web sites. And, these profiles can be sent to personalized advertisements and search results.

Flash Cookies- These are also available to collect data about you and your Web activity. These are also called "LSOs" (Locally Shared Objects) added to your computer when you visit a Web site that uses Adobe Flash.

Web Encryption- Recognition of a secure site by its HTTPS:// prefix is an important step to authenticate the site. Thus, these are safer against eavesdropping from attackers.

Web sites- By the use of referrers, web sites can track their traffic. The HTTP referrers can be helpful in determining which site a user has just come from.

Browser Fingerprinting- For tracking you and your information, Browser Fingerprinting Web Sites and 3rd party trackers can be used. By combining browser settings, installed plugins, installed fonts, and IP configuration, it can be used to link users to their devices.
