How to enable Family Safety features in Windows 8?

Description
As a parent, you want your kids to be safe online thus Windows 8 is offering suitable tools for that. Now, you can limit web-browsing of your child to age-appropriate sites as well as block or allow specific sites.

Solution:

For doing that, set up an account for your child in the following way:

1. Open the Charms Bar and then click “Change PC settings.”

2. Click “Users”, then “Add a user.”

3. Choose the appropriate option. If your kid already has a Microsoft account then you can enter it and use. Also, you can sign him/her up with a new account. If your child uses only one PC then you can also sign up without a Microsoft account. And, tap “Local account.”

4. Tick the box marked “Is this a child's account?” And, then click “Finish.”

Now, you are ready to configure any blocks or limits. After this set up you can monitor the activities of your child. For more robust solution, Mobicip offers a Windows 8-compatible version of its desktop tool.
