Skype calls in a browser

How to make Skype calls in a browser here are the steps

A new plug-in from Microsoft lets you make Skype video and voice calls worldwide. Here's how to set it up in just a few steps.

Skype voice and video calls in HD are now available worldwide thanks to a new plug-in by Microsoft. The free plug-in supports modern versions of Chrome and Firefox on both Mac and Windows computers, as well as Internet Explorer 8 and higher.

To make calls with Skype on the Web, visit Outlook.com and sign up for a free account if you don't already have one. Once you've done that, sign in.

Click the messaging icon on the top right corner and the messaging pane will appear on the right side. Under the "Add people to chat with" section, click Skype Contacts.

A new window will pop up asking you to install the Skype plug-in to set up calling from Outlook.com.
Click Get Started. You'll have to agree to Skype's terms of use and then the download will start. After the download completes, simply install the plug-in by locating the file on your computer and double-clicking. You'll be guided through the installation.

After the plug-in is installed, you'll be asked if you'd like to merge your Skype and Microsoft accounts so you can see your Skype contacts in Outlook.com. To merge, simply sign in using your Skype credentials and click Continue. If you didn't already have a Skype account, here's where you can get one.

To make a call, select a friend in the messaging pane. The first time you run Skype in a browser, your browser may ask you to give Skype permission to run. Select "Always run on this site" if you want to be able to use Skype regularly in the browser.

The Skype call will appear in a pop-up window. Now you can chat away with your friends without leaving the browser.
