Android in Safe Mode



Safe Mode is a good solution for most of your OS problems. Here you can easily get how to use safe mode on different Android Devices

HTC Devices with physical buttons
Turn off your Android device. If you can't do it the normal way because of the loop, remove the battery.
 Press the Menu button on your device and keep on holding, turn on the device and keep holding the Menu key until you see the lock screen.

Your device starts into Safe Mode.
"Safe Mode" is displayed in the lower-left corner of the screen. When in Safe Mode, Android does not load any third-party apps and you can uninstall an application causing problems.

Go to Settings > Applications > Manage applications to uninstall an application.
To restart the device into Normal Mode, turn off and turn on the device.
HTC Devices without physical buttons (HTC Desire HD, HTC Thunderbolt, HTC EVO)
Turn off your Android phone. If you can't do it the normal way because of the loop, remove the battery.
Press the Power button to turn on the device.

When the HTC logo appears on the screen, press and hold the Volume Down button.
Keep holding the Volume Down button until the Home screen loads, and "Safe Mode" appears on the screen. You can feel the device vibration before entering into Safe Mode.
When in Safe Mode, Android does not load any third-party apps and you can uninstall an application causing problems. Go to Settings > Applications >Manage applications to uninstall an application.
To restart the device into Normal Mode, turn off and turn on the device.

Nexus One
Turn off your Android device. If you can't do it the normal way, remove the battery.
Press the Power button to start your device. When the logo appears, press and hold the trackball until you see the lock screen. Alternatively, you can also hold down the touch sensitive Menu button when the logo appears.
Your device now starts into Safe Mode.
When in Safe Mode, Android does not load any third-party apps and you can uninstall an application causing problems. Go to Settings > Applications >Manage applications to uninstall an application.
To restart the device into Normal Mode, turn off and turn on the device.

Motorola Droid
Turn off your Droid and slide open the hardware keyboard.
Press both the Power and the Menu button on the keyboard simultaneously.
Keep holding the Menu key until Droid Eye appears on the screen, and you feel the phone vibration.
Your Droid starts into Safe Mode. "Safe Mode" is displayed in the lower-left corner of the screen. When in Safe Mode, Android does not load any third-party apps and you can uninstall an application causing problems. Go to Settings > Applications > Manage applications to uninstall an application.
To restart the device into Normal Mode, turn off and turn on the device.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10
Turn off your Android device.
Press the Power button to turn on the device.
During the startup, as soon as you feel the first vibration, hold down the Menu button.
Keep holding the Menu button until the device starts into Safe Mode.
"Safe Mode" is displayed in the lower-left corner of the screen. When in Safe Mode, Android does not load any third-party apps and you can uninstall an application causing problems. Go to Settings > Applications > Manage applications to uninstall an application.
To restart the device into Normal Mode, turn off and turn on the device.

Samsung Galaxy devices
Turn off your Android device. 
Press the Power button to start your device. 
During the startup, hold down the Menu button until the device starts into Safe Mode.
If this does not work, hold down Power + Menu + Home buttons until the device starts into Safe Mode.
When in Safe Mode, Android does not load any third-party apps and you can uninstall an application causing problems. Go to Settings > Applications >Manage applications to uninstall an application. 
To restart the device into Normal Mode, turn off and turn on the device.

Motorola Xoom
Motorola Xoom does not provide any option to start the device into Safe Mode. If you have a problem with the device stuck in boot loop, keep holding the Power and Volume Up keys to get out of it.
