Nowadays, Android is highly prone to get attacked by new malwares. Thus, Android 4.2 is loaded with tons of new security features.

Solution:
The new version released in 2012 includes a malware scanner which works along with Google Play. And, it is capable of scanning the third party apps. In this, if you try to install new app from any source then Google will scan it first for harmful behavior. Also, you have the option in phones security settings to turn this service on or off.

In case, the malware scanner gets anything fishy then it raises a red flag about it and will give you a choice to decide about the future course of action. If you think the site is trustworthy then you can go further to install the app. And, if the app is dangerous then the system may stop you from installing it. There are various Android app malwares that sends SMS from your smartphones without taking your consent and this can cost you money. Therefore, Android 4.2 has a solution for this. The new security feature of Android 4.2 alerts the user whenever any app tries to send SMS from your phone. In this situation, it will ask that whether you are accepting or rejecting such outgoing SMS. On rejecting those SMS, you are saved.
Debate is going on that whether this security feature is up to the mark or not sufficient for new kind of malwares. Thus, the security features should be updated frequently so as to combat with latest threats.
