How to remove old Android devices from the Play store?

Along with your downloaded and purchased applications, Google also keep track of your Android devices. Thus, if you have upgraded your phone or tablet then you should hide your old devices from appearing in Google Play Store. This will make things less crowded.

For this, go to the Google Play Store from your computer's Web browser and then click on the gear icon present at the top-right-hand corner of the screen. From there, select the “Settings” option. You will get the page titled “My Devices” in which all the smartphones and tablets you have registered to your Google account are listed. Then deselect the devices you want to remove from your account under the visibility option. It will hide selected devices from appearing in the Play Store.

Apart from this method, you can also rename devices as per your choice to organize your Play Store. For this, go to Google Play settings on the My Devices page. Click on the "Edit" option at the right-hand side of the screen, enter a new name and click the "Update" button. By this, you can download apps on shared accounts as well as organize multiple devices. In case, you download a new app then you get three options: the app is compatible with all of your devices, some of your devices, or none of your devices. When you click on one, it will display a drop-down menu with your newly organized device list.
